My name is Wendy Grant, Founder of Caring Interventions. I have over 30 years’ experience in social work and now work as an Independent Social Worker. Throughout my career, I have worked across Local Authority Children and Family Services, including child protection, and have extensive experience within the family justice system, particularly private law proceedings involving child contact and family relationships.
During my time as a Family Court Adviser at Cafcass, I recognised the acute lack of practical and emotional support available to parents and grandparents navigating private law proceedings. While Cafcass plays a vital role in ensuring that the voice and welfare of the child remains central, parents and grandparents can often feel overwhelmed, disempowered and uncertain about how to navigate the complexities of the family justice system, even when they have legal representation.
Caring Interventions was established to provide specialist, compassionate intervention and support to parents and grandparents who are currently experiencing, or have lived experience of, private law proceedings and the challenges that can arise following separation or divorce.
Our approach is unique. We offer a kind, relational and practical intervention service designed to help families move forward rather than becoming defined by conflict. This can include one-to-one support, small-group interventions, parenting and co-parenting support, and bespoke specialist reunification interventions where appropriate or court ordered.
Private Client Family Intervention
Alongside our specialist family justice services, Caring Interventions also offers a bespoke Private Client Family Intervention service for high-net-worth, celebrity, public-facing and sporting families who may be experiencing complex family or relationship difficulties.
Families in the public eye can face pressures that are very different from those experienced by other families. Family conflict can become complicated by demanding careers, public scrutiny, family businesses, wealth, reputation, changing family structures and the pressures associated with high-profile lifestyles.
Our Private Client Family Intervention service provides a discreet, highly personalised alternative to traditional therapeutic approaches for families who are looking for specialist intervention rather than therapy.
The work may focus on reducing conflict between parents and children, siblings or other family members; improving communication; addressing entrenched patterns of interaction; supporting healthier family relationships; and helping family members develop practical ways of managing conflict and maintaining relationships.
Each intervention is bespoke and carefully tailored to the needs and circumstances of the family. Where appropriate, we can work alongside other professionals already supporting the family, including family offices, private client advisers, lawyers, educational professionals, personal representatives and other trusted advisers.
Whether supporting a family navigating separation and private law proceedings or providing discreet intervention to a high-profile family experiencing relationship difficulties, the purpose of Caring Interventions remains the same: to help people reconnect, heal, rebuild and sustain healthier relationships where it is safe and appropriate to do so.
Our work is grounded in extensive professional experience, a relational approach and a genuine understanding of the complexities that family conflict can create for both adults and children.
